    “Cancale hat als Ferienort viel zu bieten. Eine sehenswerte kleine Innenstadt, die Hafen-Promenade mit Fähre, viele kleine Läden und Lokale. Außerdem einen großen Markt, der im Sommer regelmäßig stattfindet. Zum Baden gibt es auch viele Möglichkeiten, auch im Umfeld der Stadt an den Stränden der Vororte.”

    “Gezellig vissersdorp met een levendige haven. Erg toeristisch, waardoor het in de zomer behoorlijk druk kan zijn. Er zijn dan ook veel souvenierwinkels.     “5 von 5 Punkten. Sehr schöner Urlaubsort mit tollen Ausflugsmöglichkeiten und sehr vielen Stränden. Hier findet man auch in der Hauptsaison ein ruhiges Plätzchen. Wenn man im unteren Bereich (am Hafen) der Stadt wohnt, muss man zum einkaufen eine steile Straße hinauf, aber es sind relativ kurze Wege. Brot gibt es auch im Zeitschriftenladen an der Hafenmeile.
    Richtige Radwege gibt es wenige. Man muss teilweise auf viel befahrenen Landstraßen entlangfahren.
    Unser Fazit: wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!”

    “Twee supermarkten in Cancale. Even buiten stadscentrum Super U (zeer zeer ruim aanbod) met de wagen 2 km en kleinere Carrefour in stadscentrum. Verder viswinkels aan de haven.
    Twee mooie stranden met nodige comfort en wandeling naar Pointe du Grouin aan te bevelen.
    Een groot aanbod aan restaurants. Beste voor ons "Au bout du Quai", "Coté Mer". Alle restaurants die wij bezochten waren in vergelijking met België goedkoop tot zeer goedkoop. Dagschotels (3 gangen overal voor minder dan 20 euro - 2 gangen zelfs minder dan 15...).
    Geleid bezoek aan oestervelden met gids aangeboden door Ostreika met op einde uiteraard oesters en Muscadet wijn voor 9 euro.
    Cancale is dan nog de ideale uitvalbasis (max geen uur rijden) naar Saint-Malo Dinard en Dinan en Mont St Michel enz.”
