The Farver Mill has stood proudly in the fields of Wangels for nearly 200 years. "Everyone notices it, but few realize they can stay here," says owner Karin Kügler. Many guests seek unique vacation experiences and are enchanted by this special location.Visitors enter using a hand-forged key and are captivated by the preserved historic mill technology, which creates a sense of warmth and security, especially during autumn storms. Karin converted the mill into a cozy retreat in the 1970s, preserving its historic features. Today, it’s a listed relic of East Holstein culture, popular among locals and photographers alike.The mill has even appeared in a German TV series, Tatort, making it a beloved landmark. For Karin and her partner Gerd Hammerich, the mill feels like family, offering a place for togetherness during the week and on special occasions. While they run a furniture store 15 km away, they cherish their time at the mill and remain committed to sharing it with vacationers.     “Mooi landelijk huisje aan het beekje. Als de ramen open dan zal je het horen het beekje.
    Vriendelijke mensen. Hun schoonzoon praat Engels. En anders is het Duits.
    De tegelverwarming dat vonden we niet echt leuk. Elke keer opnieuw aan steken. Dit is de enige verwarming in huis.
    Het huisje ligt op een mooie plaats. Echt een leuk dalletje. Vrij uitzicht voor en achter.
    Goed schoongemaakt huisje minpunt in de keuken afzuiger is niet aangesloten en is vettig.

    De plaatsjes zijn we geweest. Lidl redelijk dichtbij.
    Zwarte woud is mooi, mooie omgeving.”

    “Ferienhaus ist sehr schön,in den Betten schläft man sehr gut,einziger Nachteil die LKW,die tagsüber die Strasse am Objekt passieren,sonst ist er sehr ruhig .Die Lage ist sonst sehr gut,man kann alles in kurzer Zeit gut erreichen.Vermieterin ist besonders nett,zur Begrüßung gab es Kaffee und Kuchen.”

    “Wij waren in oktober in dit huisje. Het is een eenvoudig huisje niet al te groot, maar alles werkt en voldoet. De tegenkachel is leuk en maakt t lekker warm. Keuken is klein maar afdoende. Het huisje is schattig en ligt aan een luid riviertje. Wel is de weg nabij, maar dat was geen ramp. We hebben een heerlijke week gehad, en de mensen van wie het gehuurd werd zijn meer dan vriendelijk. Als je niet perse van luxe houdt, maar vooral wil genieten van buiten zijn, een prima locatie, en voor ons is altijd van belang dat een hond ook welkom is. Enige puntje: de matrassen mogen een keer vervangen worden...”
