    “Smokvica ist ein kleiner verschlafener Ort aus alten Steinhäusern, dessen Zentrum sich am Kirchplatz befindet. Dort können alle Einkäufe erledigt werden. 1 Supermarkt, 1 Krämerladen, 1 Metzger sowie 1 Pizzaria und 1 Bar.
    Im Ort kann an mehreren Stellen Olivenöl und Wein probiert und gekauft werden. Beides schmeckt hervorragend!
    Von Smokvica aus kann man im benachbarten Ort "Brna" ein Boot mieten oder essen gehen. Zu den Hauptorten "Vela Luka" und "Korcula" sind es jeweils etwa 25 Kilometer zu fahren.”

Man muss auf jeden Fall mit dem Auto fahren, wenn man nicht nur die unmittelbare Gegend erkunden will. Aber eine Wanderung in der Umgebung des Ferienhauses ist möglich und entspannend.
