If you are looking for peace and quiet, wide surroundings and privacy, then the Achterhoek region in Gelderland is the right place for you. Would you like to relax, have breakfast in the garden with deer and rabbits and hares by the edge of the forest, or enjoy a glass of fine wine in the evening and the peace and quiet, interrupted only by the twittering of birds? You can do all of this at this luxury holiday house for six people, in the lovely Harfsen nature reserve, near the Gorsselse heath, in the Achterhoek region in Gelderland.
The house is fully-furnished and equipped for six people and has central heating. The house is on an 800m² private site in a quiet holiday park. There are a total of 60 houses, each on large sites. Only a few of the houses are rented out. There is plenty of space for children to play. This house is amidst the forest, a short distance from the Ijssel. The park has a reception, a playing field, a playground, a table tennis table and bicycle rental.
The ground floor comprises the entrance, a living room and a semi-open kitchen. A colour TV, Wi-Fi and a radio-CD player are provided. The kitchen includes a convection combination microwave with turbo, a dishwasher and a washing machine for your convenience. The bathroom has a toilet. The bedroom is furnished with two single beds. Stairs lead to the first floor with two bedrooms each for two people, of which one has a balcony and a WC. All the bedrooms have box spring double beds and covers. A child’s bed and a highchair are also available. Bed linen, kitchen towels and bathroom towels can be hired.
There are 2 terraces, a shed, a storage room in the house and a private parking space for one car. The living room looks out onto an area of newly planted forest with walking paths and a pond, surrounded by benches. The Gorsselse heath is about a five-minute walk away. A pet is allowed.
This house is in the forests between Gorssel and Harfsen. It is an excellent area for cycle tours and hikes. Forest paths, sandy paths, cycle trails, quiet field tracks can all be found here. The beautiful surroundings are ideal for trips, with forested areas and heaths. There are various lovely routes from the house, indicated on maps. You can find information about these and other destinations in the house, at the park reception and at the tourist information in Gorssel. Some destinations include Holterberg or de Voluwe, through the Ijssel valley or along the many castles in the Achterhoek region. Near Gorssel there is a bicycle ferry for crossing the Ijssel. Canoes and water bicycles are rented out by the swimming pool in Almen for a trip over the Berkel. There are golf courses in Lochem and Zelhem. If you would like to go out or go shopping, then towns such as Deventer or Zutphen are only a stone’s throw away, as well as Apeldoorn, where you can also find a monkey colony and a cave. The Het Loo palace is worth a visit, then you can participate in hunting on the estate. You can visit the town Lochem or Vorden with its eight castles, as well as Bronkhorst, the smallest town in the Netherlands. Zutphen and Deventer are old Hanseatic towns with many monuments and courts. Guided tours are offered regularly. In Deventer there is the Toy Museum and the De Waag historical museum. For those who enjoy action, the Hellendoorn leisure park is less than 30km from the holiday house. In Deventer you can find De Scheg, a sports palace for tennis, indoor gold, an ice rink and swimming pool with waves. Basically, the park offers plenty of peace and quiet, but there are lots of recreational possibilities in the area.
