If you feel like an interesting day trip, the town of Opatija is very close. It is known for its waterfront and was once a renowned spa resort of the Danube monarchy. Stroll along the Franz Joseph Promenade or take a walk in the Margarita Park. Experience Villa Angiolina, beautiful churches and old hotels of historical style, such as Kvarner Hotel, the oldest and most traditional in Opatija. You can also take a trip to the culturally and historically significant city of Rijeka, which was the European Capital of Culture in 2020. It is 11 km away and also worth a visit.
