Surrounded by the hills of this land, the structure lies in Vocabolo Vallelunga of Badiola where the roads to Orvieto, Lake Trasimeno and Città della Pieve converged. Between the 13th and 16th centuries, this merging of roads marked the old via Orvietana which linked Perugia to Orvieto, Lake Bolsena and the Francigena way. This junction was also characterised by the presence of an edifice, the property in question, where Benedictine monks gave shelter to wayfarers, merchants, pilgrims and their horses. Now transformed by its owners into a cottage marked by elegant furnishings and attention to detail, the Antica Posta offers apartments all very recently restructured.The facility, in a proximity of a provincial road that permit to reach all tuscan and umbrian cities like Assisi, only 25 minutes away by car, or cities of art including Todi, Spoleto, Spello, Gubbio, Città di Castello, Arezzo, Siena, Cortona, and Città della Pieve.
